No trembler in the world's storm-troubled sphere
I see Heaven's glories shine
And Faith shines equal arming me from Fear
0 God within my breast
Almighty ever-present Deity
Life, that in me hast rest
As I Undying Life, have power in Thee!"
- Emily Bronte, No Coward Soul is Mine (her last poem)
Today we got our ride, a 2000 Honda Odyssey, past 200,000 miles.
Here's to, hopefully, at least 50,000 more. She's been a good car.

1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. It's still in good condition despite a minor dent on the passenger side (long story). We'll likely replace it this year, or next year at the latest. It's been a good van, but when we buy something again I'll probably be looking for a Japanese model. Still, I wouldn't be opposed to another Grand Voyager or a Grand Caravan (they're the same vehicle).
We had a grand caravan for quite awhile - got it to about 170K or so. I remember my mechanic saying "the only thing holding that car together is God" :-)
We ended up giving it away. But it was a good car. I think we're going to go with foreign-made for the foreseeable future. We got Molly a used Rav4 for college and I'm hopeful it will go to 200K+ as well (it has 47K right now).
I feel like the domestic car companies have lost their way, and my confidence is even lower now that many of them are owned by the government.

I was in a parking lot in San Antonio when our van hit 200,000 miles last year. It's been a good van. If you take care of a vehicle, it'll run a long time.
When I bought the van years ago I always thought it'd be cool to get to 200K. Now that I'm there I, like you, am hoping for 250.
