. . . but I have been having fun with my page banner - lots of good pics to choose from!

Also, tonight I heard this song when driving Beth home from Beach in the Box, and a wave of nostalgia washed over me. This song expresses, better than I was ever able to do, the desires of my heart back when I used to be involved in the worship bands.

Even without music, may I be able to bring him something of worth, every day . . .

Working sound for my church sometimes leaves us a bit drained. We see how folks can make it more about them and less about God. We worry about the little details that I’m sure God doesn’t care about. This song always brings me home to Him. Thanks for this reminder tonight. I’m sending it to our worship leader to thank him for all of his hard work.

Ah, good song. I miss it, I wish we did it in the band today. It isn't short to depict the utter definition of worship, which is really refreshing to meditate on.

Oh, by the way, as now I've started to read your blog for real, you've seemed to go on your hiatus! :-( Haha, at any rate, I'd like to thank you for teaching the Throwdown class. I reall wanted to take your U249 class before it ended, and it's nice to get a taste of that over the summer. I loved this week's lesson. You connect easily with the students, which I'm sure is the result of living with them and being around them in past bands/249 groups. I hope you continue to post, I enjoy your thoughts.
