"My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations."

- King David, Psalm 57
On a short hiatus

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting much lately. I've just been too busy to write anything decent.

I'm going to take a bit of a hiatus from this blog. But have no fear, my dear three readers, I'll be back.

God loves you, blogosphere.

Hey Anthony! How are you doing? Great to hear from you.

3. Molly - 04/26/2007 11:58 pm CDT

Nope, haven't noticed

Over the past, what i know about you is mostly working related. From "Out of the Bloo", I feel like I am able to get a closer look at you, even though we are now thousands miles away. That's the beauty of this blog.

It's nice to see Blake's Baptism. He should be almost 10 years old now, right? God is everywhere. Sometimes my wife is taking our two son to local church in China. Believe it or not.

I'm sure you have many more than 3 readers and they'll miss you.

And, thanks Ma :-)

10. Brian in Spring - 05/01/2007 12:12 pm CDT

So what is this whole blog thing? I come back after being out of it for a year or so and find out you're on hiatus?

Hey Tong! How are you guys doing! I hope your business is doing great.

Second comment in a year:

So when are you going to convert bloo to all command line interface with a vi editor?

;-)

12. Brian in Fresno - 05/03/2007 11:16 am CDT

A command line interface with vi, now that would be interesting. The use of the 'net the way it was meant to be used!

If any more Thinklings go on hiatus there won't be any Thinklings left to post.

13. Molly - 05/10/2007 12:05 am CDT

Dear Daddy,

This is getting quite obnoxious.
POST!!

Sincerely,
Molly

Hi, Brian, Great to see you here.

I was taking a little hiatus myself.

My two sons are now six and four. Our neighbor are Taiwanese and the whole family is christian. My wife went to a big gathering last week. The priest was from Sweden. When he toughed her forehead, she then fell off the ground. We saw that in America TV, but ever had a real experiences.

15. Bill - 05/14/2007 5:54 am CDT

Wow Anthony! I hear that the church in China is one of the fastest growing churches in the world.

What did your wife think of all of that?

16. Anthony - 05/15/2007 9:07 am CDT

Lilly, my wife, believed the Sweden priest has magic power. I think the church is growing faster than the economy. There are well organized activities. Right now there is a vacuum in lots of the Chinese people's mind. Materialism has replaced the ideology. People are enjoying the booming economy, but many are lost when the prior belief of communism is gone. So more and more people are looking for the answers, to fill the vacuum.

17. Bill - 05/18/2007 6:07 am CDT

Lily is a pretty name :-)

One thing I'd recommend, if you haven't done so already, is get a Bible and read the book of John, then maybe Acts. They explain very well the life of Jesus and then what the early church did (back when they met in houses and underground, like what the Chinese church still has to do at times from what I understand)

18. Anthony - 05/18/2007 12:50 pm CDT

Lilly's tawainese friend already gave her a Holy Bible book, and it is now on our bedside. The bible is written in English with tradional chinese translation. I found the two chapters John and Acts in "The Books of the new Testament". Thanks for the direction, Bill.
